“ While visiting Mendocino with my boyfriend and our dog, I was on the hunt for a pet-friendly restaurant. After seeing so many positive reviews, we decided to check out Noyo. My boyfriend raved about the fish tacos, calling them some of the best he's ever had--and I completely agree. The seafood was incredibly fresh, lightly battered, and perfectly fried. The fried oysters were especially noteworthy, with a delightful texture and flavor. Overall, the food was flavorful, and we didn't find the fried items overly heavy. The restaurant also offers thoughtful touches like a free water station and condiments in the tented area. After placing our order at the counter and receiving a number from the server, we chose a seat. There's plenty of seating, both by the water and under the tent just outside the restaurant. ”
“ Hands down the best place I've gone to for seafood. We got the mix of fried seafood and chips and clam chow. The fries were fried to perfection and the seafood mix was delicious. The batter was perfect and the seafood was fresh. Clam chowder was good but I can tell they added cheese in there and didn't really taste like a classic clam chow, but hey, it was still good. And wow, look at that view too. We were sitting in front of some seals and watching boats go by. For sure a top place to visit in Fort Bragg! ”
“ Big line, chowder was BAD! rest of order took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and I believe part of it got re done as the fries and wontons came out cold and wontons were just not good.... grilled cheese....for $10 should have WAY better cheese to bread ratio (when even your 10 year old complain)... but.... the gfish tacos...... extremely good! Pass on the rest, but definitely get the tacos:) ”
“ This restaurant was so good we visited twice in one weekend, I couldn't stop thinking of the fish tacos! They're huge and delicious! The fish was hot crispy and fresh! The pico de gallo was perfect and don't get me started with the sauces they put on top, everything about the tacos were so good! The best part is they don't fall apart like some other fish tacos I've had! Even with being the size they are! The first time we came we stopped at another restaurant nearby so we wanted to get something just to try, I wanted a fish taco and my gf wanted shrimp.. we asked if we could have one of each and they said yes! That was awesome because most places won't allow that and make you buy two separate meals. So when we came back the next day we each got our own order. The chowder was good, it didn't blow me away but i was not disappointed. This has to be my favorite spot for fish tacos ever! I like the bar seating for a little view of the water and boats. The music and ambiance was really nice. It does get packed too. Dog friendly and I love that they have heaters too! ”
“ The food was delicious. I had the Baja tacos and they were filling. My wife had the salmon and it had a very delicious flavor. We both liked the clam chowder. The service was friendly but there was a really long wait for the food. That area you are eating in is a marina and it is a pretty cool setting when you're eating fresh catch. I would recommend that you at least try these places in this area. ”
“ This is a delicious seafood stop in Noyo Harbor where you can find other businesses at the base of the highway. Narrow road down and feels industrial because it's near the coast guard too. We were lucky to sit by the water at the bar top area and saw an otter. We ordered the shrimp po boy and special fried oysters. The sandwich was expected and delicious and the oysters were hot and fresh and HUGE! The wonderful thing is that the oysters were in every bite , not a single bite was just breading. Recommend this stop if you're nearby and craving some seafood! ”
“ After flying in from Phoenix and driving a few hours, we were famished and lucky to find Noyo Fish Company was still open at nearly 7 pm (11-8 Wed-Sun, FYI). The line had dissipated and the relieved cashier said it hadn't stopped since before lunch. So it's a popular place, and we discovered that was for good reason! Cashier and I talked awhile about my cider choices and I ended up with a great dry cider in a large bottle (strong, so I didn't need two!). Husband had a beer, as usual. Many, many beverage choices including wine and some bottled cocktail choices! I asked a lot of questions about preparations and gluten. The cashier helped me arrive at a GRILLED baja fish taco platter. I chose three (two salmon and one white or vice versa). Although not on the menu, they cooked the white fish to a crusty perfection on the flat grill instead of battered and fried.....and i LOVED IT. Fish portion was huge, three tacos was a lot. Corn tortillas, slightly griddles, held up admirably. I was hungry but ended up only eating the guts of the third taco. Topped with pico and baja sauce they were really a great start to my vacation! Chips and salsa sides were also very good, I took some with me. After pondering all the options, husband chose a fish and chips dinner. He was super impressed by the craggy batter, very crunchy and solid. Fries were good, tartar sauce was good, no complaints from the man. Patio has free water cups and a view of the fishing harbor. The weather was perfect, and I hope to be back someday to enjoy this great little place again! ”
“ The fish and prawns combo was excellent! The fish and prawns were moist and meaty. The batter light, crispy and very flavorful and we could see it was even seasoned with dill up in there too. A great value with two pieces of fish, three prawns and fries for $18. It was enough for the two of us to share, and be full! The clam chowder was chock full of clams. Unfortunately, I picked up a metallic aftertaste that was a bit off putting. I'm assuming it was from the can the clams came in? Fast casual on the water. We got to see the boats and kayakers passing by and the harbor sea lions sunbathing too. ”
“ Great stop when you're in Mendocino county! It was such a delight to grab a bite here, especially on a nice day! It's all outdoor seating right by the water. We ordered the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, clam chowder, and clam strips. Both tacos were delicious, but make sure you eat them quick before the breading gets soggy! The breading is very light, so the meal didn't feel too heavy. They also came with chips with very flavorful salsa. The clam chowder was really thick and flavorful. I'd pass on the clam strips though. There's a bit too much breading, so it took away from the flavor of the clams. Would definitely come back!! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! ”
“ The Noyo Fish Company was a great find for our dinner. We got there 40 minutes before 8 (their supposed closing time) and the place was jam packed with a pretty line for ordering at the counter. Dining was in a tented area at mostly shared tables. There were heat lamps, so it was nice and cozy. Everything was pretty much self service; you get your own utensils and water and, if needed, take out boxes for leftovers. A wait person did bring our orders to us after we sat ourselves. Our friends ordered the salmon tacos (2 tacos) and the clam chowder. I tasted the chowder and it was delicious; thick, creamy, and full of clams. I ordered tacos, too; one with breaded fried fish and two with grilled salmon; ordered three because it was two for $14 or three for $17 and I was able to order the two different kinds. Both tacos were absolutely stuffed with fish, cabbage and grilled onions. Both fishes were fresh, moist, and amazing. After eating two, I was stuffed and had to take the third one to go. The tacos also came with tortilla chips and salsa and there were a couple of different hot sauces on the table. This is definitely a wonderful local spot and well worth the wait for the table to open up and the food to be put down in front of you! ”
